We have been working really hard to help Hannah (and ourselves) sleep better through the night. We have been putting her down earlier and not rocking her to sleep. After we read several books, we put her in her crib and she gets herself to sleep. The theory behind this is that she figures out how to go to sleep on her own and if she wakes up in the middle of the night she can get herself back to sleep. It was REALLY difficult at the beginning of the week, but tonight she only whimpered for about 3 minutes before she was asleep. She is getting much more sleep and we can really tell a difference in her demeanor. She is a much happier baby. Here is a picture of her looking quite sleepy.
Hannah has been obsessed with Lucy lately. She can't get enough of her and she always wants to touch her. Lucy does such a great job. Lucy sits really still so Hannah can touch her and Lucy is so very patient.
One way that I am able to get the laundry done around here is with Hannah's help. Here is how she (and her dad) helps me with the laundry. That's right she has socks piled on her head. Don't worry they are clean socks, fresh from the dryer!
I am looking to the second half of the weekend. It is the first Father's day that we will celebrate with our little family! I hope all of you have had a wonderful weekend too!!!

What books did you read about sleeping? We need to work on the "getting yourself to sleep" thing with Ruby too. ~Rachel
I read two books... The Sleepeasy Solution by Jennifer Waldburger and Jill Spivack and the second book was The No-Cry Sleep Solution by Elizabeth Pantley. We used the first one because it said the sleeping situation would improve in less than a week. We found that it did actually improve in less than a week! Both are really good and I would recommend either one depending on how you want to approach getting your little one to sleep.
Hopeing that Hannah will want to go swimming again soon. She is adorable in her little suit!
I really can spell.....I just apparently cannot type! Ha!
