Thanksgiving

We have had a wonderful Thankgiving holiday! We are so thankful for our wonderful little baby; she is certainly a gift from God.

I have not been very good at taking pictures lately, so this post lacks a little in that area. So sorry!!!

We have determined that on weekend and holidays (days when Dad is at home all day) Hannah feels as though she should be allowed to be awake ALL day in order to get enough Daddy time. This means that sometimes she fights naps and can be a little bit difficult/stressful. Overall though, her behavior is wonderful. She is such a happy baby these days!

Hannah has learned to clap and loves showing off her new skill. She will do it almost everytime you ask her to. Last night she learned to give high fives and will smile hugely when she accomplishes this feat as well. Today she cut her eighth tooth; she has four on top and four on bottom.

She is also eating ALL the time. We usually have 3 solid food meals a day, and two of those we try to let her feed herself. She is not so good at using a spoon on her own, but is working on it.

We hope that you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Mid November Update

Well, it has been about two weeks since we have updated this, so it's about time. 2 weeks in Hannah time is a lot of new things. Tonight all three of us ate dinner at the table together! Normally, we feed Hannah then wait until after we put her down until the two of us eat...but now she is eating enough "finger foods" (cereal puffs, peas, etc) that we all ate at the same time (although we did have to help her quite a bit). It was very fun and the adults weren't starving because we ate before 7:00!!

Hannah is doing great health-wise too! Since she had her tubes put in, she has been a pretty happy baby. We did have another small cold (or at least a very runny nose), but that too has passed and she is back to normal.

Hannah and Lucy are definitely becoming best friends. Hannah is providing Lucy with ever increasing amounts of small food dropped on the floor. Lucy pretty much spends haf her day circling Hannah's high chair (even when Hannah is not in it) hoping to find some people food somewhere around it. Also, Lucy and Hannah have discovered tug-of-war thanks to Brian (see video below). Lucy is very gentle with her and puts up with a lot...and it is very funny to watch. Hannah is now prone to take a sock off, crawl over to Lucy, and begin waving the sock in her face.

Hannah has ditched the pacifier altogether. A week ago when she had a bad runny nose the pacificer was a nuisance to her because she was breathing through her mouth and she couldn't do both things at once. Now she wont take one at all. Problem solved!!
Hope you enjoy the pictures and the video!

Halloween

Wow! I am so upset with the OSU-TX game, I have to take a break. So I thought I would blog and tell you how our halloween went. We decided to sell our football tickets so that we could spend Hannah's first halloween with her. She was wonderful all day. On a side note though, she has decided that she does not need very much of a nap during the day. She never naps for more than 40 minutes at a time any more. A week ago she would nap for 2 hours most days. So other than her short naps, she was great today. We went over to Hannah's Aunt Carley's house and ate dinner. Then cousin Jack arrived and we went trick-or-treating. Hannah did a great job she just let people carry her and smiled the whole time. Then we came home, put Hannah to bed and started watching some football. Hopefully it will go better soon. Here are some pictures of our beautiful ballerina and her super cute cousin Jack the jackrabbit. Jack says "I'm out of here."

Here are a couple of other pictures from the week. Hannah loves my boots so I thought I would put them on her. I think they are a little big, don't you?

Mid-October Update

Well, it has been a while since we have updated our blog. Sarah has developed a case of blog-itis, so I am taking over at least for this round. Where to begin??? There have been lots of new exiting things since our last post.

Hannah is now taking big girl baths! No more baths in the little tub, she gets the real deal now. It is going fine, except now it is hard to hold her down & scrub her! Before, she couldn't go anywhere...but now she has a whole bathtub full of toys to go explore. Thankfully, she is still enjoying them a lot and is mostly a happy girl during bath time.

Big smiles!!! This is a new happy face she makes a lot. You can't see that and not smile back!

Here she is conked out in her crib taking a nap. Since our last post, her sleeping has continued to be awesome. She routinely sleeps through the night now - no getting up at all to feed or check on her. She is sleeping like a champ (and so are we - hooray!).

Hannah got another ear infection, so we are pretty sure she will have to get tubes now. Sarah and Hannah go see the ear specialist again on Tuesday to find out for sure. Other than that, she has been a pretty healthy baby lately. She got a little cold for a few days, but we are over it now.

The Pumpkin Patch!
We went to PC Baptist Church this Sat morning to go see their pumpkin patch! It was very fun, but quite windy and chilly outside, so we didn't stay long. We actually got there before they opened so we just took some pictures and let the kiddos wander through the pumpkins. The wind & cold didn't bother Hannah much.

The rest of our weekend was quite nice as well. On Friday afternoon we went to Stillwater with the Schnebergers. We wandered around campus and looked at all of the House Decs. Saturday we ventured back to Stillwater for the game. Hannah had her first sleepover, and all reports were that she did great. Sunday we spent most of the day with the Roses. We took family portraits and had a pink party to celebrate Stacey's five years of remission!

Eight Hours!!!!!!

Yessssss!!!! I was so excited this morning. Our precious little angel slept from 10:00 until 6:00 without getting up to eat. This was the first time in a long time. It is amazing how great 8 straight hours of sleep feels. I know it was only one night, but maybe we are on the right track. She has previously been waking up just once to eat around 3:00. You would not think this is a big deal, because it only takes her about 15 minutes to eat and she goes right back to sleep. However, it takes me about 2 hours to go back to sleep and that really stinks!!

Here are some pictures for your viewing pleasure....

Randomness of the last two weeks

So it has been a long time since I have posted and a lot has been going on. Hannah has cut her first tooth. We were shocked! She was not fussy at all and one of Brian's coworkers asked if she had a tooth. I just assumed she did not because I heard babies were very fussy when they cut teeth. But I looked in her mouth and there it was. I have not been able to take a picture of it, so you will have to take my word for it.

Grandmom found some bows that will actually stay in her hair for longer than ten minutes. I felt like Hannah should wear them all since they stayed in so well.

She has really been on the move lately. She will explore everything. Under the table was quite exciting for some reason.

She also stands up all the time. We will have to move the crib down again soon.

Brian's mom, who lives in Stillwater, got the flu. She watched Hannah during the first football game. But, because of the flu she couldn't watch her for the second one. Carley, my sister, graciously said she would watch her, but that meant leaving her OKC the whole day and Brian did not think he could be away from her that long. So what did we do? We took her to the game.

She started out like this...

and ended up like this.

We did not stay the whole time because it started raining. I can't say that we had a nice time at that game, but I can say that Hannah did GREAT!

Here are some more funny videos....

We took a video of Hannah playing with her favorite toy...LUCY.

Labor Day Weekend

Brian, Hannah and I had a wonderful Labor Day weekend. On Friday we took Hannah to get professional pictures taken. She did so much better than she did the last time. There were so many great pictures to choose from, it was really difficult to pick which ones we wanted. Shortly after the picture session we found our little pretzel baby sleeping all folded up.
On Saturday we headed to Stillwater for the big game. Hannah tailgated with us but stayed with her grandmother during the game. She did such a great job at the tailgate. She smiled nearly the whole time and was so sweet.

She was also really excited for the big game. She knew it was the most important OSU football game of her entire life ;-). She was THRILLED that OSU won (and so were her mom and dad!)

The rest of the weekend we were entirely lazy and enjoyed just hanging out with our little one.
Can you say "Jazz hands?"...

She has really started to enjoy her jumper. She is quite funny in there. This is a long video, but some of you may enjoy it.
